I was a student at Southgate School while “Rick” was working there. I remember him as being an incredibly kind soul and generally nice person. He definitely made an impression on me during my early years. I will never forget a conversation that we had while I was in 6th grade. I was trying to get him to tell me something that he had sworn not to disclose. He kept true to his word and wouldn’t tell me. I have always appreciated his decision to keep his word..as much as it was killing me. Rick was well liked by all at the school. My condolences to his family. He will truly be missed.

I will always remember Ricky as my cool cousin who would sometimes let me play with some of his model airplanes when I would come to visit Aunt Pat in Latham …
Sorry for your loss

Our deepest condolences on your loss. I remember Ricky as the baby of the family with his cute smile and sweet disposition when the Cardonas and Rifenbergs often got together for firehouse family functions and time spent at Lake George. Treasured memories, all of them. Our love and prayers are with you all at this very difficult time.

Sue,Tom and Kim, so sorry for your loss!
I'll always remember his kindness, and him coming over and snow blowing my driveway when my plow guys plow broke down. Not something he had to do, but that's the kind of man he was!

Rick you were like a brother to me. Always happy ,joking & laughing. You always helped Pete & I when we needed it. I will never forget you. Like so many others to count, you touched my life. Great family man who always put his family first. We are all lost without you. Im sure Baron is lost as well. You are now once again in your moms arms as well as in Jesus. This I truly believe. We will meet again some day. Until then, may you feel much love & peace .
