Albany Jeanne T. Bartnick, 93, formerly of Imperial Avenue, Cohoes passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Monday, December 24, 2012 at her residence at Avila in Albany. Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Francis M. and Herminie Blais Tessier. Jeanne graduated from Keveny Academy, St. Rose College and received her Masters from SUNY State College for Teachers at Albany. Jeanne was an avid golfer and member of Van Schaick Island Country Club, and very proud of her 4 hole in ones. She retired to Panama City Beach Florida after teaching 35 years at Cohoes High School. She returned to Cohoes in the summer to spend time with family and friends. Jeanne was predeceased by her husband, Thaddius Ted Bartnick. She is survived by her brother, John S. Tessier of Long Island and her sister Constance T. Allard of Falls Church, Virginia; she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Rev. C. Henri Tessier, Dr. Francis J. Tessier, Dr. Paul A. Tessier and her sister, Marie R. Tessier. Funeral Friday 11:00am at Holy Trinity Parish, Cohoes where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Internment in St. Michaels Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Friday morning from 9:00 to 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Parish, 122 Vliet Street, Cohoes, N.Y. 12047 or Cohoes Alumni Association, P.O. Box 229, Cohoes, N.Y. 12047.
