Obituary of Andrew Quintal

Clifton Park – Andrew Quintal, 79, of Ivy Court, Clifton Park, died at his home on Monday, May 5, 2014 after a short illness. Born and educated in Cohoes, he was the son of the late Ernest and Elizabeth St. Onge Quintal. He retired from Norton Company, Watervliet. He was a US Navy Veteran. He was a volunteer for the Clifton Park Fire Department for several years. Andrew is survived by his wife, Doris Couture Quintal of Clifton Park, his children, Joseph Quintal of Florida, Sheryl Crawford of Clifton Park, Ann Grimsley of Ballston Spa, Robert Quintal of Clifton Park, Patricia Negron of Rotterdam and Gary Quintal of Clifton Park, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Brother of Theresa Sajler of Cohoes, Brother Edward Quintal of Valatie and the late Marcel Quintal, Loretta Buccholz, Raymond Quintal, Ernest Quintal, Jr. and Alice Quintal, also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Thursday, 9:00am at St. Edward the Confessor Church, Clifton Park Center Road, Clifton Park where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, N.Y. Relatives and friends may call at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Wednesday from 4 to 7pm.
