Malta – Gary E. Cunningham, 63, of Malta, passed away at Saratoga Hospital on Saturday, August 5, 2017 after a short illness. Born in Cohoes, he was a graduate of Shenendehowa High School and was the son of the late Edward and Mary Pawenski Cunningham. He retired as a Manager of Nutrional Services for CDPC in Albany. He loved dogs, camping and spending time with family and friends. Father of Jason (Carol) Cunningham of NC, Melissa Cunningham (James) of NY and Shawn Cunningham of SC. Brother of Wayne Cunningham of NY and MaryAnn (Charles) Plumley of NY and the late Dennis Cunningham. Grandfather of Mykayla, Jayda, Shayla and Connor, also survived by two nieces. Funeral Wednesday, August 9, 2017 10:00am at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with Deacon Gerard Matthews officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 7pm. Those who wish to remember Gary in a special way may donate to the American Cancer Society in his memory. The family would like to thank the ICU staff at Saratoga Hospital.
