Obituary of Cathy A Johnson

Cathy A. Finning Johnson, 66, of Simpsonville, SC formerly of Cohoes, passed away on Tuesday March 26, 2024, with her family by her side after a brief illness. She was born in Troy and was the daughter of the late Charles and Patricia Hartley Finning, Jr. She was a graduate of Keveny Memorial Academy. She worked for Cohoes Savings Bank, manager at Latham Bowl and Express Scripts before retiring. Cathy was an avid bowler, she loved to travel, especially to the beach and was known for her cooking and baking. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Kenneth Johnson of Simpsonville, SC, sister, of Theresa Crassman of Ft. Myers, FL, Patricia Nolet of Cohoes, Charles F. (Cindy) Finning, III of Troy, Diana (Jeffrey) Stufflebeam of Green Island and Tara Finning of Rockhill, SC. Also survived by nieces and nephews, Tara, Katie, Cassandra, Charlie, Tonya, Richard, Joseph, Patrick, Stephen, and Timothy, also survived by great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 9 AM at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes. The interment will follow in Memory Gardens, Colonie. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 7pm. Friends who wish to remember Cathy in a special way may donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her memory.
