Loudonville – Frank N. Sloane, 80, of Loudonville, passed away at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, MA on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, with his family by his side. He was born and educated in Cohoes and was the son of the late Frank and Dorothy Cunniff Sloane. He served his country in the United States Navy. Frank was a retired Teamster for Yellow Freight in Albany after 25 years of service. He enjoyed golfing, collecting coins, going to the casino, traveling, and spending time with his family. Frank was a double lung transplant recipient of 24 years. Husband of the late Amber A. Sloane. Father of John (Aleks) Sloane of Rotterdam, Gail Sloane of Loudonville, Frank (Kat) Sloane of Loudonville, Amber (John) Nielsen of St. Augustine, FL, Thomas (Lu) Sloane of Loudonville, Michael (Connie) Sloane of Rensselaer and Michelle (Jeremy) Jacobs of Colonie, grandfather of Deirdra, John, Emily, Kylie, Jack, Andrea, and Chloe. Brother of Dorothea Burdick and the late John. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside service at Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands, NY on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 1:00pm, please meet at the Rt 378 entrance of the cemetery. Friends who wish to remember Frank in a special way may donate to Donate Life NYS, 185 Jordan Road, Troy, NY 12180 in his memory. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Brigham and Women’s Hospital Thoracic ICU and transplant team for the care given their father.
