Obituary of Nancy J. Jones

Cohoes – Nancy J. Jones (Scesny), 70, passed away at Samaritan Hospital, on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. She was born in Cohoes and was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Carmen (Vautrin) Scesny. She was educated at Heatly High School in Green Island. Nancy worked at Matthew Bender for 25 years. She then worked at the NYS Workers’ Compensation Board until retiring. Nancy enjoyed going to the Saratoga Racecourse and Racino, and most importantly spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughter, Melissa Jones (Tim Carroll) of Troy, her two grandchildren, Riley, and Wyatt Carroll. Sister of David (the late Diane) Scesny, Cathy (James) Sagendorf, Linda (Jeff) Gray and Tami (the late Thomas) Popielarz. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins. The family will receive friends at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 4 to 7pm.
