Obituary of Anthony C. Leone
Saratoga Springs – Anthony C. (Tony) Leone, 93, of Saratoga Springs, NY died on Saturday, September 10, 2022, after a brief illness. He was born in Schenectady and was the son of the late Jerry and Jenny Leone. He was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School and served in the US Army during the Korean War. He went on to work for the New York State Thruway Authority for 38 years. Upon his retirement, Tony enjoyed traveling extensively overseas and the Caribbean, making friends near and far with wonderful memories that lasted his lifetime. He was lucky to spend many years at his second home in St. Thomas USVI which was truly his favorite place. Tony is survived by his wife, Roslyn (Rocky Jones) Leone, his daughter Barbara and Kevin St. Phillips, his granddaughter Christina and Brandon Connor, and two great grandchildren, Chase, and Alexa Connor. Tony also shared a loyal friendship with John Nardini. Tony, our Pop, and Poppy will forever remain very special and near and dear in our hearts. Friends are invited to attend a Military Service at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at 10:30am. Please arrive at the cemetery front entrance by 10:15am. Friends who wish to remember Tony in a special way may donate to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306 in his memory.
