Obituary of Katherine C. Cameron

Cohoes – Katherine C. Cameron, 89, of Cohoes passed away at her son’s home in Ballston Lake on Thursday, February 24, 2022. She was born in Troy and was the daughter of the late Lola Pettit. She attended Knickerbocker – Lansingburgh School District. Katherine worked for NYS Department of Taxation and Finance in Albany for several years. She devoted her time to raising her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post #476, Cohoes, and the Cohoes Rod & Gun Club. Wife of the late Walter B. Cameron for over 50 years. Survived by her children, Roger B. Cameron of Utah, Scott D. Cameron of Utah, Bonnie L. (Bob) Nickarz of Troy, Cynthia L. Macier of Nevada, Brian C. (Melissa) Cameron of Ballston Lake and Jeffery T. Cameron of Texas and mother of the late Walter L. Cameron and Eric J. Cameron, also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sister of the late Joseph, Mary, and Walter. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Monday, February 28, 2022, at 6:30pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 7pm prior to the service.
