Obituary of Margaret N Pilbeam
Cohoes – Margaret N. LaMarre Pilbeam, 87, of Cohoes, passed away at Delmar Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing on Friday, December 3, 2021, with her family by her side. She was born in Cohoes and was the daughter of the late Mitchel I. and Marie Louprette LaMarre. She was a graduate of Cohoes High School. Peg was a waitress at the OCA Club in Cohoes for 19 years and later a lunch lady, known as Grandma Peggy at Abram Lansing School in Cohoes for 17 years. She also worked at Head Start in Cohoes for 5 years as a foster grandparent. Wife of the late William T. Langley and the late Carl A. Pilbeam. Mother of Donna Langley of Cohoes and Cynthia Langley of Virginia Beach. Grandmother of Jacob, Curtis, Jenell and Eric and the late Thomas, great grandmother of Jasmine, Chastity, Madison, Evy, Brandi, Angelina, Mya, Ionna, Aubrey, Poppy, Isaiah, Travis, Carlos, Roman and Baby Jacob and great great grandson, Kysohn. Also survived by three stepchildren, Mary Ann, Carol, and Carla. Sister of Annette King and Robert (Butchie) Jean, also survived by several nieces and nephews. At the family’s request, services will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends who wish to remember Peg in a special way may donate to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, Menands, NY in her memory.
