Obituary of Cathy A. Sagendorf

West Sand Lake – Cathy Ann Sagendorf, 66, of West Sand Lake, NY went home to her Heavenly Father on August 11, 2021, after a courageous battle with COPD, surrounded by her loving daughters and eldest granddaughters.  Cathy was born on June 26, 1955, to the late William A. Sagendorf and Joan Shirley Page Sagendorf, devoted mother to Nicole (Michael) Wood, Amanda Pivoda and Tiffany Talarico.  Predeceased by her daughter Bernadette Zeoli.  Loving grandmother to Keni, Kane, Lexi, Jacob, Madison, Cameron, and Jade.  Beloved sister of Joseph Rogers, William E. Sagendorf (Sandy), James Sagendorf (Cathy), Nancy Zoszak (Chuck) and the late Gail DuFour, Ona “Sissy” Sagendorf and Kim Sagendorf.  She is also survived by great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.  Cathy enjoyed spending time with her daughters, grandchildren, and her family.  She taught us how to be strong and independent, making us all laugh with her many words of wisdom and famous quotes.  Cathy enjoyed volunteering at the mission dinner at the United Church of Cohoes as often as she could.  She shared her Faith freely and was a good friend to many.  Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 15, at 4:00pm at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with Pastor Caitlyn Wood officiating.  Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4pm prior to the service.  A private burial will take place with the family at a later date.  In lieu of flowers please make memorial donation in memory of Cathy and Bernadette to The American Heart Association at https//donatenow.heart.org.
