Eugene G. Guillaume, 93, of Cohoes, passed at his residence with his family at his side on Sunday, April 25, 2021. He was born and educated in Cohoes and was the son of the late Eugene and Clara Clairmont Guillaume. He served his country in the US Army from 1946-1947. He retired from Bendix in Green Island as a factory worker for 35 years. Gene was an avid NY Yankee fan, he loved Harley motorcycles and working on automotive repairs in his garage, watching old western movies and his family. Husband of the late Norma Nickerson Guillaume. Father of Paula (Bill) Sampson of Florida, Barbara (Don) Giek of Loudonville and Brenda (Dan) Carey of Ballston Spa and the late David Guillaume. Grandfather of Bob (Jess) Giek, Eric (Linsay) Giek, Michael (Amber) Carey, Misty Guillaume, Erin (Jason) DeVoe, Jaime Giek, Katie (Matt) Ware and the late Nick Gildea and 12 great grandchildren. Brother of the late Clarence Guillaume, Wilfred Guillaume, and Francis Guillaume, also survived by nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the United Church of Cohoes on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Nick TeBordo officiating. The family will receive friends at the United Church of Cohoes on Friday morning from 9:30a.m. to 11a.m. prior to the service. Inurnment will follow in Memory Gardens, Colonie. Friends who wish to remember Gene in a special way may donate to the United Church of Cohoes in his memory. Masks are required and social distancing will be observed in the Church.
