Ray F. Giroux, 77, of Cohoes passed away at the Eddy Village Green, Cohoes on Tuesday, March 2, 2021. He was born in Crescent and was the son of the late Jeremiah and Mary Wilson Giroux. He attended Shenendehowa High School. Ray was a sheet metal worker for Tougher Industries Enterprises in Clifton Park for many years. Husband of the late Doris Giroux. He is survived by his children, Catherine (Robert) Barron of Maplewood, Nancy (Joseph) LeBuis, of Cohoes and Jason (Tiffany) Giroux of Delaware, grandfather of Ashley (Jonathan) Althaus, Anthony Barron, Alex LeBuis (Lindsey), Meghan LeBuis (Bobby), Giana and Cruz Giroux and great grandfather of Nicholas Althaus. Brother of Gerald (Tina) Giroux and the late Marilyn, Geraldine, and John. Brother-in-law of Donald (Mary) Hebert and Frank (Mary) Hebert also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 7:00pm at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 7pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the American Diabetes Association in Ray’s memory. Masks are required and social distancing will be observed inside and outside of the funeral home.
