Obituary of Richard P. Frament

Richard P. Frament, 74, of Schenectady and formerly of North side Waterford and Cohoes passed away at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn with his wife by his side on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. He was born in Cohoes and was the son of the late Lawrence and Veronica Messier Frament. He was educated in St. Bernard’s School Cohoes and graduated from Keveny Memorial Academy. Rich served his country in the US Air Force. He worked at the Fairfield Inn By Marriot in East Greenbush as breakfast attendant, Albany Marriot Security Guard and Director of Housekeeping and Ramada Inn as Director of Housekeeping. He also worked as Hudson Valley Paper Co as a shipper. He enjoyed trips with his wife to Wildwood, Hampton Beach and Ogunquit, Maine, camping at their camping trailer in Saratoga and being with his loving family and friends, having so many wonderful and good times. He enjoyed playing cards, board games, crossword puzzles and various types of puzzles. He had 2 pets he just loved so much. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Gloria Rainville Frament of Schenectady and formerly of Cohoes, his sister Alice LeSage of Cohoes and by nieces and nephews. Brother of the late Norma Vazzana, Lawrence Frament and Ronald Frament. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 11:30am at the Church of the Holy Trinity where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville for the family. The family will receive friends at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 11:00am prior to the service. The family would like to thank the ICU staff, doctors, and hospice staff at St. Peter’s Hospice for the care given Richie. Friends who wish to remember Rich in a special way may donate to St. Peter’s Hospice, Albany. Masks are required and social distancing will be observed inside and outside of the funeral home.
