Obituary of Donna M. Bubniak

Cohoes - Donna Marie Allen Bubniak ,66, of Cohoes lost her eight-month battle with brain cancer, at home on Saturday, December 5, 2020. She was born at Glens Falls Hospital on February 15, 1954 to the late Betty Allen of Hudson Falls. Raised by her mother and grandparents, Edwin, and Lillian Allen. She attended Hudson Falls schools. She continued her education as an adult, earning degrees from Maria College in 1992 and the University at Albany in 2001. Donna spent most of her 35-year career as a clerk with the State of New York at the Department of Labor, in the local employment service and unemployment offices in Troy and Albany, and on campus, and at the Office for Technology, retiring in 2009. She enjoyed reading, socializing, and enjoying a good glass of wine, whether at home or on Fort Myers Beach, FL and going to Red Sox games at Fenway Park and basketball and football games at UAlbany, especially the tailgating and road trips. She is survived by her husband of forty-four years, William Bubniak, of Cohoes, and her daughter Victoria Montalto (Eric) of Stuyvesant; also by her brother-in-law Thomas Bubniak (Rita) of Leesburg, VA and their children Lydia and Evan; her sister-in-law Susan Cavanaugh (Michael) of Finksburg, MD; sister-in-law Mary Ellen Noxon (David) of Charlotte, NC and their children Alexa and Noah; an aunt Eve Allen of Ocala, FL and her children Louise, Lenny, and Michael; and uncle Richard Allen and his daughter Sherry of Aynor, SC. She wanted to thank all those who helped her thru her illness, the physical rehab unit at Albany Medical Center Hospital, the Visiting Nurses’ Association, and The Community Hospice.
