Dear Nonnie, Hug and kiss my daddy for us. I know you were ready to go after he died, because the pain of having to bury your child is unimaginable. You are with him again and I imagine he still makes your coffee early in the morning as you sit and make lists of what you need to do each day and what you should cook fo the week. After living together for over 20 years your daily routines were pretty predictable. I know heaven has all of the good cheese and good stuff to make all of the meatballs and sauce that you want or that my dad wants. Don't forget about the goluppkes and cappelletti those were always a treat. I can't wait to "bump up" your hair like I used to do before you went out and I can't wait to see all of the tatting and crocheting you've done. I will never forget all of your stories, the times we laughed and the memories we shared. I will remember making homemade pasta with you and draping it over the back of the kitchen chairs, walking to Perugini's to get groceries and the countless games of Old Maid. You always wanted to know..... there was no secret ingredient in my eggplant parmigiana, it's love. Just like you taught me. You will be in my heart always. Rest now Nonnie. I love you.

I remember her , daily, going to the corner of Park Ave. and Ontario St. calling, Ziggy, Tony, Bobby, to come home for dinner. Still brings a smile to my face. She was truly loved by everyone.
