so sad to hear of Jim's passing....I have many fond memories of working with Jim for years...what a wonderful family you have created as we watched the video of his life!!!! We were sorry to miss the wake but I am in a wheelchair and it is difficult for my wife to get me in the car !!!!! The tribute you shared on the internet was wonderful, but sad, however you showed what a great
gentleman he was, plus husband and father and grandfather....he was the best!!!!!! Bill and Evah Beck

My condolences to the Pertierra family. I met Jim at Pro DIsco where we played cards and talked baseball. Jim was a great human being and a very good friend. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers for the family.

In this world, it’s rare to come across a genuine smile, honest heart, and good intentions. You have always looked out for my best interest, and made an impact in my life not only with the opportunities you presented me but with the friendship and values you passed along. You were built to be compassionate, patience, selfless, funny, empathetic, and humble. You were nothing but the perfect epitome of what a friend, son, father, grandfather, uncle and husband should be. A nonpareil star to say the least. I can go on and on with nothing less than amazing words to describe you and the experience of knowing you but everyone knows that already. I will miss you and our chats, your advice and wisdom. I hope I’m one of the lucky ones you look after now that your an angel. It will be hard but you are in peace now and we will meet again one day. My deepest sympathies to the Pertierra family and extension of, he will be everywhere, just listen to your heart for the signs. Much love, Jessica Moreno (friend and former Verizon employee).

Jim was my boss, mentor and friend, he never had a ill word to share about anyone and to tell you the truth I never heard him curse. The best part of working for him at Verizon was the night shift with him, and our other co workers. The night consisted of news, Seinfeld and friends then a nap, while Jim compiled all his excel spreadsheets, his log of movies, vhs dvd, baseball stats. He always spoke about baseball and his 3 sons and loving wife. I was grateful to have attend my wedding, and would continue to catch up a bit when he would call to order dinner at Doms pizza. I remember he had a bet with his baseball team that he would shave his beard if they won the championship, they did. I cant say enough good things about this humble, generous, caring man other than he loved me and I him. Fly high with the angels Jim I hope we meet again. You raised 3 great men and have a wonderful loving wife she will miss you greatly as your sons and grandchildren will..

Jim was my boss at Verizon 20yrs ago. He was always smiling and always talking about his wife and children....ALWAYS. I hadn't seen him since we parted ways at Verizon but we kept in touch on FB. When I saw the news of his passing it broke my heart. "Only the good die young" may never be more true than in this instance. The world lost a good one. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. Jim was an incredible human being.

I can't express how loved Jim was. A kind and gentle man who above all things loved his family but was loved by a multitude of friends as well. Jim left us way too soon but is now reunited with his dad in heaven. We'll miss you dearly but love that you are no longer in pain.
