Jimmy, Kelly, Brian and Eric,
I am so very sorry for your loss. Even though too much time has passed I think about you all often. I think back to the time spent at your house growing up and often get a good laugh when I come across pictures eating lunch in the back room of your house. Forever in my mind is Monica dancing at dance recitals. That is how I will remember “Monkina” smiling and dancing! That last time I saw her she talked about you all, she was so proud! May your hearts find comfort in your memories! With love, Amy Lou

I am so sorry for your loss. Monica was my best friend growing up in cohoes and attending St. Michael's School together. Whenever we ran into each other we would reminisce our grammar school years and catch up on our families. I will miss her smile and bubbly personality. Fly high with the angels pain free my friend.

Monica was the school nurse at LaSalle Instirute while my 3 sons, and 1 grandson were students and while my late husband Mike was on the board of directors. I remember Monica as bring so outgoing, compassionate, funny, dedicated, loyal, spirited and understanding to everyone around her. She knew all students by name, health need and beyond. She ministered to the entire LaSalle Institute family, students and staff included with 100% of her being , even after beginning her own battle with cancer. I never saw Monica without a smile on her face and ready with a listening ear to anyone who crossed the threshold of the health office .Her nursing skills and expertise were impeccable and who she was as a person left a mark on anyone who knew her.
Rest in peace Monica. To her dear family please know i hold you in prayer in this most difficult time and I thank God for the blessing of having known Monica. .Peace , Marie Mangione

Monica was a blessing to all. She was sincere, kind and professional. Over the years, working with Monica as a supervisor, she was always positive, kind and funny. A true advocate for her patients and colleagues. What a great sense of humor! Monica’s life is a legacy, a fine example of how we should try and live our lives. Prayers being said to Monica’s family and friends, especially during this time. Nan Rudd

My heart aches. I had no idea Monica was sick. Our boys played youth hockey together so we spent a lot of time together at the rinks. Monica was always so nice, always had a smile on her face and I can still hear her laugh. I would run into her at the grocery store and would see her walking through Frear Park. Monica had an aura of strength, positivity and kindness surrounding her. She told me she took care of my mother at the cancer center at Samaritan Hospital years before I met her which made me feel a stronger connection to her. Even though I haven't seen her in a few years I know that she would have acted like we were close friends. I could tell she loved her nursing jobs, she just loved helping people. Monica was so loved and will be missed by so many.
Condolences to Jim, Kelly, Brian, and Eric

Backyard Neighbor, Godmother, Host with the Most, Organizing Queen, Aunt Bentley, Forever Friend.
Your attention to faith, family and friends is like no other. You embraced and encouraged anyone you met and worked alongside. An amazing work ethic and Love of Life. My last visit in February, during a Nor'easter, didn't stop You! We made all appts. & I know every aisle in Price Chopper...leaving with the overflowing grocery cart, another Monica trademark. The kitchen and deck @ 4 Westlane, always bustling, 'what can I get you?!'
Your beautiful smile and laugh will be with us forever...we know the gates were wide open.
Peace, Prayers and Love to the very special Bentley & Dudek families.

We are all better people for having known Monica.
We laughed, we danced, we loved, we cried, we felt each other’s joy and each other’s pain. We are the Sistas, the best of friends, the core four. In our youth we lived on the edge, as most young people do. Those times were the best times of our lives, ones we will never forget. Monica’s love and friendship was truly a blessing to all who knew her.
So it is not good bye Monica, it is thank you for being my friend. It is we shall see you soon on the other side in God’s glorious Heaven. I hope you are tap dancing on those streets of gold! I love you so much!
Until we meet again.....

I was blessed to call Monica a friend for 24 years. For many of them, we planned the annual LSI end of the year party at the ‘nurses’ house together. The most gracious host, the laughs never stopped. I will have those memories with me always. You touched the lives of thousands with your beautiful smile, warm heart and genuine kindness and I will be forever thankful that I was one of them.
