Type Obit HereSandra L. Baker Dessinger, 67, of Mechanicville passed away at Samaritan Hospital, Troy on Monday, December 12, 2016 after a short illness. Born in Troy, educated in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late George and Dorothy Smith Baker. She was a machine operator at the Watervliet Arsenal for many years before retiring. Wife of the late David Dessinger. She is survived by her daughters, Candice (John) Palumbo of Arizona, Penny (John) Miller of Mechanicville and Kelly Haskins of Waterford, her grandchildren Brien and Andrew Haskins, Maci Palumbo, Kaylee Miller and Khloee Hewson. Sister of Michelle Borden of Cohoes and the late Karen Vaillancourt, also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Funeral Monday, 11:00am at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with Deacon Gerard Matthews officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3 to 6pm. Those who wish to remember Sandra in a special way may make a donation in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
