Obituary of Raymond A. Vautrin
Raymond A. Vautrin, 88, of Cohoes, passed away peacefully at his home with his loving family by his side on Monday, December 17, 2018. Born and educated in Cohoes, he was the son of the late Archille and Elizabeth Boyer Vautrin. Ray worked at Proctor & Swartz, Cohoes, Machnick Construction in Green Island and Beltrone Construction in Latham for over 35 years as overseer of operations and superintendent. He was a member of the Carpenters Union, Millright and Mason. He was a member of the Cohoes Knights of Columbus Council #192, Cohoes-Waterford Elks Club and Cohoes Moose Club. Former member of St. Joseph’s Church, Cohoes, he was in charge of restoration at the church. He loved music, singing, dancing and going to restaurants. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Theresa Riel Vautrin of Cohoes, his sons, David R. Vautrin (Joann Kerr) of Washington, MA and Michael A. (Susan) Vautrin of Cohoes. Grandfather of Michael Vautrin, Jeffery Vautrin, Michele Jacobs and Nicole Vautrin and 7 great grandchildren. Brother of Yvonne Westbrooke of Wynantskill and the late William Vautrin. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Funeral Friday, December 21, 2018 at 9:00am at the Church of the Holy Trinity, Cohoes where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends may call at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Thursday from 4 to 7pm.
