Obituary of William F. Orr

Cohoes – William F. Orr, 76, of Cohoes passed away surrounded by his loving family at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn on Sunday, September 23, 2018.  Born September 2, 1942 Bill was the son of the late Frederick and Margaret Bleau Orr.  He was a graduate of Shaker High School.  A veteran of the US Coast Guard.  Bill owned Orr’s Auto Parts and Orr’s Delivery Service in Albany for many years.  He was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church in Latham.  Pre-deceased by his wife, Delores Seymour Orr.  Father of Maureen Orr of Atlanta, Ga, Michael and Robyn Orr of Pace, FL, Kevin Orr of Fort Ann, Michele Orr of Cohoes and Mark Orr of Latham, survived by 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  Also survived by nieces, Denise Toma and Nancy Daigle and cousins.  Pre-deceased by his brother Ronald Orr.  Funeral Wednesday, September 26, 2018 10:00am at St. Ambrose Church, Latham where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Brian Kelly.  Interment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Cohoes.  Relatives and friends may call at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Tuesday from 4 to 7pm.  Friends who wish to remember Bill in a special way may donate to Community Hospice, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675 in his memory.
