Obituary of Doris E Lussier
Doris E. Senez Lussier, entered peacefully into eternal life in the early hours of June 7th, 2018. Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Armand and Anna Bissonette Senez and the wife of the late Armand Lussier. Doris attended St. Joseph’s Elementary and High School finishing first in her class. She also graduated from Troy Business College. She was employed as a supervisor, for many years in the Title Bureau of the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles. Fluent in French, she took great pride in translating for French speaking customers. After her retirement, Doris enjoyed singing in the choir at St. Marie’s Church (now Church of the Holy Trinity) and serving as a Eucharistic Minister. She was a long-time member of the Ladies of Ste. Anne. She also volunteered for many years in the Gift Shop of Cohoes Memorial Hospital then Eddy Rehab Facility and in the soup kitchen operated by the Salvation Army in downtown Cohoes. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Diviney (Jeff) of Waterford and Michele Huestis (late Vern) of Cohoes, her grandchildren Jennifer and Vince Fiori, Eric Diviney (Jamie), Rebecca Hopeck and Joshua Huestis and seven great grandchildren. Doris was predeceased by her two brothers Armand and Donald Senez. Funeral 11:00am Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from Church of the Holy Trinity where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:30am prior to the Mass.
