Obituary of Theresa E. Brady

Cohoes – Theresa E. LaMarche Brady, 89, formerly of Cohoes, passed away at Van Rensselaer Manor, Troy on Monday, April 16, 2018 after a long illness.  Born in Cohoes, educated in St. Joseph’s School, Cohoes and graduated from Cohoes High School Class of 1947.  Daughter of the late Louis and Bertha Normandin LaMarche.  As a young girl she worked at Montgomery Wards, Menands and later at New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, retiring to take care of her husband.  A communicant of St. Joseph’s Church, Cohoes, she was a 20-year member of the choir and a member of the Ladies of Ste. Anne.  She loved to roller skate, especially at Guptill’s Arena.  She loved animals and never was without animals in the house.  The last couple of years she became attached to her long hair cat “Baby” and her grand dog “Angel”.  Wife of the late Frank Brady, Jr.  Mother of Mary (Thomas) Murray of Cohoes and Frank (JoAnne) Brady, III of Altamont.  Step grandmother of Paula Neumann and Laurie O’Donnell, step great grandmother of James, Kayla, Christopher, Cierra and Ian and step great great grandmother of Aiden.  Sister of the late Louis LaMarche, Robert LaMarche and Chester LaMarche, also survived by several nieces and nephews.  Funeral will be held on Friday, 11:00am from St. Augustine’s Church, Lansingburgh where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford.  Relatives and friends may call at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Thursday from 4 to 7pm.  Those who wish to remember Theresa in a special way may donate to the Mohawk & Hudson River Humane Society, Menands in her memory.  The family would like to thank Paula, Kayla and Laurie for helping with Mom at home.  Thank you to all the staff on A1 at Van Rensselaer Manor who took such good care and were so kind and attentive to her during the last year.  For directions and guest registry, www.dufresnefuneralhome.com.
