Uncle Pal, I wish that I had taken more time to talk to you about your service on the USS Bennington especially what you went through in the middle of a Typhoon in the Pacific WWII. I read the book( "Sea Cobra" by Buckner F Melton) and I can't imagine what was going through your mind at the time. You have always had my greatest respect. God Bless you and your family. Love Ya, Butch

Gail Sorry to hear of your loss. The obituary addressed him as a hero in his service to our country. I spent four years in the Air Force with a term in the far east including Viet Nam. I had a exceptional young lady in Taiwan that I regret I didn't bring home. I was in Construction for 38 years as a CFO and Project Manager. When I got out I got my Associates Degree from HVCC and my Bachelors at Siena which is why we saw each other at a Siena games. I fondly remember hanging around with Steve, Ralph, Billy and both you and Janet. You two were the most beautiful girls in the world to me but regretfully we never dated.; I am sure you are still beautiful inside and out as I remember you. I regret not being able to see you today.

We may be far away, but I remember Pip very well. He was such a great and loving person. My strongest memories, since I have lived far away for years, dates back to his life at Cossayuna Lake - living next to Uncle Will. Great person and always high spirited and happy to be around. He lifted everyone up because of his great personality. It is also where all of his kids started their relationships which makes it all very special to me. I will miss him and can't even imagine how much the family hurts over his loss. I am so sorry for the grieving you all are going thru and wish you a speedy recovery over your loss. It never ends but it eases over the years. May God bless all of you during this hard time of your lives.
I also want to think him for his service. Never knew Pip was a Marine. They never die and their honor is well deserved. I have made friends in SC with many former Marines and I love them all. They offer you the shirt off your back at anytime.
Bless Pip and everyone who is deeply hurting over his loss.
My prayers are with all of you,
Bob
