Brittany Michelle Knight, 16, of Cohoes, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2016 after a tragic accident. Born in Cohoes, she was a sophomore at Cohoes High School. Brittany would light up a room with her smile, she loved everybody, would talk to anybody and had the biggest heart imaginable. She loved life, and adored spending time with her family. She always looked forward to her special "Birthday Shopping Trips" with her Aunt Jessie and her Aunt Stacey. Beloved daughter of Christopher (Amber) Knight and Dee Beattie of Cohoes. Granddaughter of William and Donna Robitaille of Cohoes, Michael and Judy Meyer of Clifton Park and Darrell and Kathy Beattie of Cohoes. Sister of Christopher, Saige, Austin, Savannah, Larissa, Caitlyn and Ethan Knight all of Cohoes. Also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral Tuesday, 10:00am at the United Church of Cohoes, Mohawk Street, Cohoes with Caitlyn Wood Director of Ministry officiating. Interment will follow in St. Peter and St. Paul Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Monday from 4 to 8pm. Those who wish to remember Brittany in a special way may make a donation to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, Menands in her memory.
