Alfred (Bud) Francis Davis, Jr., 72, formerly of Cohoes passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at his home in Salisbury, North Carolina. Born in Troy, he graduated from Watervliet High School and was the son of the late Alfred Francis and Margaret Powley Davis, Sr. While in New York he was a steelworker for Poretech Steel and after moving to North Carolina, he was employed for Parkdale Mills, Pauline Knitting and Jockey before retiring. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cathy Crisco Davis, three sons and 15 grandchildren of Lexington, North Carolina. Brother of James Thomas ( (Ana) Davis, Sr. of Halfmoon and his sister Margaret "Peggy" Cardish-Hulihan (Thomas) of Watervliet, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Thursday, 10:00am at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes. Interment will follow in Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 to 7pm. Those who wish to remember Bud in a special way may make a contribution to the American Cancer Society.
