Obituary of Charles L. Roberts

Charles (Chuck) L. Roberts, Sr., 88, of Cohoes and Zephyrhills, Florida, passed away at Gulfside Hospice Center, Zephyrhills, Florida on Monday, January 11, 2016 after a long illness. Born in Cohoes, he was the son of the late Alfred and Eva Gadeau Roberts. He was employed by the former Ford Tractor and Supply Company in Latham. A World War II Navy Veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart, serving in the Invasion of Normandy. A life member of the VFW Military Order of Purple Heart. A communicant of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Cohoes. Chuck and Pat spent their winters in Florida. Survived by his wife, Patricia Decatur Roberts of Cohoes, his children, Terry (Walter) Gordon of Waterford, Connie (William) Chicaway, Charles Roberts, Jr. and Jeffery Roberts all of Cohoes. Brother of the late Doris LeClair, also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, nieces and nephews. Funeral 9:00am Monday, January 18, 2016 at the Church of the Holy Trinity, Cohoes where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford.
