Obituary of Arthur T Hartshorn
Arthur T. Hartshorn, 98, of Troy passed away at Samaritan Hospital, Troy on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 after a brief illness. Born and educated in Cohoes, he was the son of the late Walter and Lillian May Harris Hartshorn. He was a World War II Navy Veteran. He worked at the Watervliet Arsenal and was a member of the Evening Star Lodge No. 75, F. & A. M. in Latham and in 2004 he received the Dedicated Service Award. Husband of the late Elizabeth J. LeRoy Hartshorn. Father of Elizabeth J. (Felix) Mrozek of Latham, grandfather of Dawn E. James of Conway, New Hampshire and Wendy M. Carson of Hanover, MA and great grandfather of Nickolas James and Aidan James both of New Hampshire. Brother of William G. Hartshorn of Green Island, Evelyn M. Hartshorn Jacques of Watervliet and Allan R. Hartshorn of PA and the late Dallas Hartshorn and Donald Hartshorn, also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral Monday 11:00am at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with Deacon Charles Valenti officiating. Interment will follow in Memory's Garden, Colonie. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 5pm.
