Obituary of Rita M. Wilcox

Waterford – Rita M. Bechard Wilcox, 90, of Waterford passed away at the Van Rensselaer Manor on Sunday, November 15, 2015 after a long illness. Born in Cohoes and was the daughter of the late Leonel and Blanche Morin Bechard. She worked for NYS Dept. of Transportation as administrator assistant for many years. She was a communicant of St. Augustine Church, Lansingburgh and a former member of the Ladies of St. Anne. A member of UCT and the Waterford Seniors. Wife of the late Joseph Wilcox. Survived by her long time companion, Augustus Vozzy of Cohoes, her son Thomas (Karen) Wilcox of Cohoes, her grandchildren Stacey Wilcox of Michigan, Greg Wilcox of Troy, Jeremy Wilcox of Waterford, Alysha Wilcox of Cohoes and Vanessa Bongiorno of Troy. Also survived by 3 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral Wednesday at time to be announced at St. Augustine Church, Lansingburgh where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Tuesday from 4 to 7pm.
