Gilbert (Gil) J. DeLude, P.E., 70, of Clifton Park passed away suddenly at Albany Memorial Hospital on Tuesday July 14, 2015. He was born in Cohoes, graduated from Cohoes High School Class of 1962, graduated RPI in 1967 with a BSME and did Post graduate work at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh and Northeastern University Boston. Son of the late Rudolph and Henrietta Bessette DeLude. He was a Board member of ASME/ANSI national organization for Power Piping Code Committee, Past President of National Wild Turkey Federation in Lansing, Michigan and the Capital region and Board member of State Chapter of NWTF for many years. A life member of NRA as well as NWTF. He worked for Westinghouse Electric Corp in Pittsburgh from 1967 to 1971, United Engineers Construction in Boston from 1971-1975 and Gilbert Commonwealth in Jackson, Michigan from 1975 to 1988, Associate of Stetson Harza in Troy from 1988 to 1994, Partner of Entek Engineering in Troy from 1994 to 2002, and Engineering consultant to Momentive Performance Materials until his retirement in October 2014. Owner of The Reloading Zone. He loved going to Maine, fishing, hunting, he was an avid sportsman and guns rights activist. A communicant of Corpus Christi Church, Round Lake. Survived by his wife, married on May 27, 1967, Marie Bacon DeLude of Clifton Park, and his daughters, Heather (Scott) Newton of Severna Park, Maryland, Christa (John) Kerin of Clifton Park and Carrie DeLude of Cohoes. Grandfather of Zachary, Sarah, Emily and Emma, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Saturday, 10:00am at Corpus Christi Church, Round Lake where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends may call at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Friday from 4 to 7pm. Those who wish to remember Gil in a special way may make a contribution to the American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association in his memory.
