Obituary of Wilford G. Parent

Wilford (Bob) G. Parent, 83, formerly of Cohoes passed away at St. Peter’s Hospital, Albany on Saturday, June 27, 2015 after a brief illness. Born in Poestenkill, educated in Cohoes and was the son of the late Frank and Alma Lussier Parent. He was a cutter at Ursula of Switzerland in Waterford. Husband of the late Lorraine Chenaille Parent. Father of Linda (Francis) Lavigne of Clifton Park and Michele (Richard) Grosh of N.C., brother of Ted Parent of Saratoga, Beatrice Charbonneau of Cohoes, Paul Parent of Crescent and Frank Parent of Valley Falls,and late Mary Lague, Theresa Elliott, Lionel Parent,and Clement Parent. Grandfather of Scott Lavigne of Guilderland, Kimberly Graham of Minnesota, Matthew Grosh of Virginia, great grandfather of Naomi and Amelia Graham, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Tuesday, 10:00am at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with Rev. James Ebert officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 7pm. Those who wish to remember Bob in a special way may make a contribution to the March of Dimes in his memory.
