Ellen Z. Bacon, RN, 94, of Clifton Park and formerly of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away at St. Peter's Hospice Inn on Monday, May 11, 2015. Born and educated in New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Catherine Royal Harper. Wife of the late Thomas S. Bacon. Mother of Marie (Gil) DeLude of Clifton Park, Irene (Tom) Butland of Williston, VT., Tom (Sharon) Bacon of Berea, KY., Richard (Roxie) Bacon of Carr, CO. and Robert (Annie) Bacon of Honeoye, NY also survived by 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Funeral Friday, May 15, 2015 at 11:00am at Holy Trinity Church, Poughkeepsie, NY where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, NY. Those who wish to remember Ellen in a special way may make a donation to The Community Hospice, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY 12144 or St. Peter's Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association, 97 Winne Road, Delmar, N.Y. 12054.
