Obituary of Chester A. Roberts

Type Obit Here Roberts obituary to run long on May 10, 2015 and short on May 11, 2015 Cohoes – Chester (Chet) Roberts, 68, of Cohoes, passed away at Albany Medical Center on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 after a long illness. Born in Troy, educated in St. Joseph's School in Green Island, graduated from LaSalle Institute in Troy, Hudson Valley Community College and Albany State with a bachelor's Degree in Accounting. He was the son of the late Arthur and Leone Morris Roberts. He was a US Navy Veteran. He was an accountant for NYS Comptroller's Office in Albany, retiring after 40 years of service, he also was a self-employed tax preparer. A parishioner of Our Lady of Assumption in Latham, a member of Latham-Colonie Knights of Columbus and Colonie Elks. He is survived by his wife Annette Tremblay Roberts of Cohoes, father of the late Stacey Roberts, grandfather of Arielle Roberts of Cohoes, his brother Donald (Don) and (Lydia) Roberts of Halfmoon, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Tuesday, 10:00am at Our Lady of Assumption Church, Latham where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Monday from 4 to 7pm.
