Donald A. Vaillancourt, 69, of Amity Street, Cohoes passed away at Albany Medical Center on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 after a brief illness. Born and educated in Cohoes he was the son of the late Amiee and Blanche Desautels Vaillancourt. He was a US Army Veteran. A communicant of St. Michael's Church, Cohoes. He was a mail carrier for 31 years for the US Postal Service serving the residents of Troy and worked at Auto Parts International for 3 years. Survived by his wife Rose Marie Hamel Vaillancourt of Cohoes, children Brian (Carol) Vaillancourt of Menands, Megan (Scott) Vaillancourt of Troy, Lisa Lopez, Lorie (Wayne) Sinclair and Dennis (Lorie) Vaillancourt all of Florida. Grandfather of Tegan Rose Duffney, Alisa Zobea, Wayne Sinclair and Caleb Sinclair. Brother of Raymond (Cathy) Vaillancourt of Ohio, Marian (Robert) Loucks, Linda (William) McGuire and Barbara Jean (Chris) Kay all of Florida, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Don also leaves behind his best friend and companion Isaac. Funeral Monday 9:30AM at St. Michael's Church, Cohoes where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Relatives and friends may call at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Sunday from 3 to 5PM
