Gladys Garrity Fennen, 87, of Cottage Avenue, Cohoes died at Albany Medical Center, Albany on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Pine Bush, N.Y. and educated in Maywood Schools. Daughter of the late James and Rita VanPatten Gourlay. Wife of the late John Fennen. She is survived by her loving children, Ed (Donna) Garrity of Troy, Judy (John) DeConno of Clifton Park, Deborah Reynolds of New Hampshire, Dawn (Joe) Crowley of Cohoes, Don (Sheila) Garrity of Halfmoon, Edie (Chris) Wickes of Mechanicville, Kathy (Steve) Swota of Grafton, Jackie (late John) Reavey of Cohoes and Jim (Kelli) Fennen of Cohoes. Gladys was blessed with many grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the last survivor of five brothers and five sisters. At Gladys’s request, there will be no viewing hours. Inurnment in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville at the convenience of the family. Those who wish to remember Gladys in a special way may make a contribution in her memory to The Community Hospice of Albany County, 445 New Karner Road, Albany, N.Y. 12205.
