Helene C. Narbon, 77, of Rensselaer, passed away at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital with her family by her side on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 after a short illness. Born in Cohoes, she graduated from Keveny Memorial Academy, Cohoes and was the daughter of the late William and Anna Provencher Giroux. She worked in patient accounting for Albany Memorial Hospital for several years. She was an avid sports fan, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and especially her great grandchildren. She was an animal lover and she had a great witty sense of humor. She is survived by her son, Derek (Wendy) Narbon of Rensselaer, grandchildren, Monica (Sean) Wells, Rachel Narbon, great grandchildren, Briana Wells, Noah, Ryley and Samuel Lematty, Ezmeigh and Ellna Childers and the late Bradley Lematty. Beloved sister of the late Jeannette Gariepy, also survived by nieces and nephews, Donna Vaine, Robert, Heather and James Gariepy and great niece and nephew, Jennifer and Kristopher Vaine. Funeral Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 4:00pm at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with Rev. Nick TeBordo officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 to 4pm. Those who wish to remember Helene in a special way may make a contribution to The Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, Albany, N.Y.
