Kath,
Another nephew comes your way. I am filled with tears for Brian and his wife and family. Please ask God to carry your family through these such difficult times. I love and miss you. I think of you often. I treasure the many times our paths united during our years together. In this tragedy I am thinking of Brian Jr being comforted in your arms. Please ask God for the strength, will and endurance for Brian Jr's parents and family to weather this unbearable pain. I pray the Gods Holy Spirit, Angles, Guardian Angles carry Brian Jr's family through this horrific journey. I Love You and I Miss You my cousin, confidant and comrade.

Karla, I was thinking last night. I felt the loss of Kath and thought of your family but especially of you. I remember Kath talking about how you would be there for each other way back when you were both very young. I know you were there for her and the bigger the loss the bigger the hole in our heart. I still remember the beautiful words you shared when my mom passed and I know you feel things very deeply. I try to go on to live the life I know my mom wanted for me. I don't always do a very good job at it but I keep trying. My mom, Kath and you have similar, beautiful unique qualities. We just keep going forward and live the life they want for us. Finding our purpose isn't a light bulb moment but a life's journey. Maybe that is why Kath seemed to live two different lives before and after. My dad had a before and after time in his life and after his surgery he had time to mend fences and let God use him to heal others. Both my father and Kath had a peace about them after they each had a dramatic event and they both allowed God's healing to flow through them. I don't have your eloquent writing prose, but... finding how to live life and honor our loved ones is the best way we can keep them close at heart and allow our hearts to be made whole again. There is a time for everything under Heaven, even to be funny... That is what I remember you sharing with me about Kath and what I try to remember most about her when she would say - you funny, I just hope and pray you are doing okay. We all have a Phoenix in us to fly again. Love, Sandy

Sister I miss you more than any one could possibly ever know. I do nothing but think about you and reflect on all of our times together. You were one of the biggest inspirations in my life. You were beautiful, smart, independent and strong. Since I was born you were always there for me when I needed you and even when I didn't. You had a way about you that could always make everything ok no matter how bad I felt you always made me feel better. And when it came time and you needed me I was always there. A sister's bond that was stronger than steel. I am lost without you, I never thought my life would be like this you were my everyday. You needed me and now I need you and for the first time you are not there. I love you and will never stop.

For as long as I could remember she was like my best friend I could talk to her about anything all of my problems my fears my goals my dreams the one I could go to when I felt no one else could understand and she listened we had our ups and downs but we loved each other unconditionally so now all I have is memories and in my heart they will stay until the day I see her face no one could ever take her place ?

Sister I wrote this poem for you almost twenty years ago. Thought you might want to hear it again: A Rose My sister is like a rose; whose petals open softly, gently to the morning sun Whose gentle words have righted all the wrongs that I have done. Whose wisdom and love have carried me through the nights darkest hours till the early morning dew. When God created the petals he had in mind one of life's treasures, a one of a kind. He created a beauty a sight to behold. He created my sister more precious than gold. A garden of roses, the memories we've shared, the hours together just knowing you cared. The life of a flower, breath of fresh air, the love of a sister, the love that we share For there is no beauty like the sight of a rose, and there is no love like a love that grows. When I look at a rose I see your face, your my sister my friend I can't replace. A rose so delicate and soft to touch, reminds me of my sister that I love so much...

Karla, I can feel your pain all the way down here in FL. I am so sorry that Kathleen died and left such a BIG hole in your heart. I wish I was there to take you to lunch, to get to know you, to hold your hand and especially to give you hugs, and I only know you through "sister's" death. I am a friend of Shirley Mahar's. She can tell you some stories about me. Just remembered, I gave her one of my dolls. Ask her to show it to you. Take care of yourself. Go get a massage and facial. I care. Fondly, Carolyn

Sister: How is it that we talked about so much but we never talked about what I am supposed to do without you? I know you said "It's OK" but sister it's not. It's not ok and never gonna be ok. Imagine that I'm just thinking thinking. Thinking that I would not be missing you so much if you were here. Thinking of being with you, missing all you quirky sayings, your smile, and your lipstick. I miss your voice, your silliness, but most of all your face. I miss seeing you, hearing you and hugging you. Sister if you are watching you already know I'm just trying to make it through the day...never mind tonight. If I could just have you back for one day....

Sister, I hope you know "what I mean" Hand in hand until last breath We loved you too much to let go Bittersweet transition...passing...death Vessel empty of pain and face of peace A window opened in the morning sunlight Loved ones waited beyond with decease For your caring, loving spirit to take flight As sixty one balloons soar into the sky In remembrance our eyes well with tears On earth we look up to heaven and cry Why...no more pain...no worries...no fears.

Sister: Each day without out is a challenge. I miss you so much. I am grateful for all our years together, all our memories but most of all I am grateful for you. I am lost without your fifty calls a day, your smile and the way we were. You were my everyday. I will never forget all we have been through together. I love you so much and always will. I miss being there for you when you needed me. I know how hard you fought. I know you had to let go. It was so hard for me to let go you that morning, but I will never forget our last days or moments together. I will relive them every day. You are always in my heart, on my mind and in my soul. It's always been me and you and no one can take away or change that. We celebrated your life I know you saw the balloons how could you not? I will cry every day for you my sister and won't stop until I see you again. I will think of you everyday but most of all I will think of you when "Autumn Leaves" fall.

Life is a precious gift no matter how long or short it may be. My sister was a wonderful person, she helped countless people throughout her life and gave unselfishly. As she had many obstacles throughout her life and she managed to fight and overcome the impossible, of which most of us would not have survived. Not only did she overcome but she did it with such strength, determination and courage but most of all with dignity. As I watched her overcome each challenge one by one I questioned where she got all this strength from and silently thought to myself "I'd have given up". But not my sister. "Forge ahead" she would say and 'come on girl..... as she learned to speak again. Each little step was a victory for her. She fought a battle only a soldier could survive. So if there is one thing I think Kathy would want everyone to remember is that no matter how hard life may seem today, tomorrow can be a better day. Sometimes you just have to fight for it. Just when you feel like you lost hope find your inner strength and forge ahead. Let the insignificant things be just that and embrace what's real and that is life. With that being said, I never thought this day would come. Topsy thank you for being there and I appreciate all the support I had from my friends and family, during this past month. Grateful for the visits, texts, pictures of the babies from Audrey and Kelly. The calls from everyone, especially you Beverly Hawkins- Jubrey. With my mothers strength and all your support I would not have made it through. To my nephew Charlie I have never been prouder of anyone. Gina I love you. Tia and Choochie my heart and love will always be with you. I am always here for you. Jordan, Mya and Michael you had the best MeMe ever! To my husband Marty, I am everything because of you, your support your love and continued loyalty will get me through the rest of my life. Most of all to my brothers...... Johnny, Brian and Eddie Angel. I have no words to describe the love and support you have given me. Being by my side day and night, day after day and night after night. I cannot even find the words to tell you all how much I love you. Infinity times infinity.
