– Douglas S. Murray, 75, of Cherry Street, Cohoes passed away at his home on Monday, December 15, 2014 with his family by his side. Born in Aberdeen, Scotland and graduated from Cohoes High School. Son of the late Douglas and Hellen Burr Murray. He was a machinist for 25 years at the D & H Railroad, Colonie. He was a US Army Veteran. He belonged to the Cohoes Moose Club, Cohoes Rod & Gun Club and the Veterans Club in Watervliet. He loved dancing and playing the drums. Survived by his wife, Carol Gibbs Murray of Cohoes, his children, Gordon, Christina and Douglas Murray all of Cohoes and 4 grandsons. Predeceased by his siblings, Jessie, Ruby and Valentine, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services Wednesday evening at 6:30pm at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with Rev. Nick TeBordo officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 7pm. Those who wish to remember Doug in a special way may make a contribution in his memory to Massry Center, 147 Hoosick Street, Troy, N.Y. 12180.
