– Mary Ann Blanchard Ethier, 100, formerly of Cohoes, passed away at the Teresian House, Albany on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 with her loving family by her side after a long illnesss. Born and educated in Joliette, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late George and Oliva Lefrancois. She was a homemaker and a long time communicant of St. Joseph's Church, Cohoes and a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. She was predeceased by her husband, George N. Ethier, her son James Ethier and her 12 siblings. Survivors include her children, Margaret Hanssen of No. Chatham, Raymond Ethier of Nassau, daughters-in-law, Carol Faragon, Gayle King and Elizabeth Ethier and son-in-law John Hanssen. Grandmother of Kim Ethier, Andrew Ethier, Nicole (Rob) Rodham, Jaime (Erin) Ethier, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 11:00am at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Albany with Bishop Emeritus Howard J. Hubbard celebrant. The family will receive friends at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Friday from 5 to 7pm. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford at the convenience of the family. The family would like to acknowledge with gratitude the entire staff at the Teresian House for the many years of wonderful and loving care given to their Mother
